Greetings History Lovers,
We wanted to reach out with the exciting news and events that have been happening over the last few weeks.
We have formally begun negotiations with the City of Hanford for the historic Carnegie library building so that it will continue to be a museum.
Our Research and Writers Group is moving forward with expanding our virtual museum with new exhibits on historic houses, Hanford Fire Department, and we are moving forward with our first Oral History as part of our new Oral Histories Project.
In the meantime...
Check out the new addition to the “Then and Now” exhibit: the Lemoore Odd Fellows Building in 1907 and 2020.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to help with the production and post production of our Oral Histories Project. If you are to help, please submit your information on our Get Involved form.
Thanks to everyone for helping us preserve Kings County’s history.
