The Carnegie Museum of Kings County is pleased to announce its 2026 exhibition: Building Kings County.

 

This exhibition will continue the museum’s mission of telling our communities’ history through the impacts of roads, buildings and industries in and around Kings County on generations of our residents and visitors.

 

Part One: February 21 to July 26

  • China Alley

  • Founding of cities and county

  • Historic downtowns of Avenal, Corcoran, Hanford, Kettleman City, & Lemoore

  • Historic homes

  • Railroads

  • Schools

 

Part Two: September 18 to December 20

  • Businesses and restaurants

  • Churches

  • Highways 198 / 43 / 41

  • Hospitals

  • Industries

  • NAS Lemoore

  • Prisons

  • Tachi Palace
